NICE is an AWS subsidiary focused on High Performance Computing and remote visualization technologies for the technical computing market. NICE DCV is a high-performance remote display protocol that provides customers with a secure way to deliver remote desktops and application streaming from any cloud or data center to any device, over varying network conditions.

With NICE DCV and Amazon EC2, customers can run graphics-intensive applications remotely on EC2 instances, and stream the results to simpler client machines, eliminating the need for expensive dedicated workstations. Customers across a broad range of HPC workloads use NICE DCV for their remote visualization requirements. The NICE DCV streaming protocol is also utilized by popular services, like Amazon AppStream 2.0 and AWS Robomarker.

As a member of the NICE DCV team, you will be making contributions to all our components – the server running on both Windows and Linux, the HTML5 base client, the native client for Windows, Linux and MacOS and other components will are building, but we have not yet announced to our customers. When required, you will be able to contribute back to a number of Open Source products we depend on. As a member of a team who develop technologies used by several Amazon internal and public services, you will be able to collaborate with a multitude of engineers all around the globe.

As a Senior Engineer, you will design and build new features, make performance improvements, identify and investigate new technologies, prototype solutions, and test and review changes, to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Your responsibilities will include mentoring team members, helping with hiring by interviewing new candidates and working with senior leaders to define team’s vision and roadmap. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Master's Degree or PhD in Computer Science or related disciplines
· Programming skills in Rust, C# or Python are a significant advantage
· Experience with remote display protocols (Citrix, VNC, HP-RGS, Spice, MS-RDP, PCoIP, etc.)
· Experience with multi-media streaming (RTP, WebRTC, etc.)
· Familiarity with AWS platform
· Contribution to a major open-source project
· Strong desire to build, sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
· Previous experience with protocol design and implementation
· Ability to work well with people and be both highly motivated and motivating
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
· 5+ years working as software developer
· Prior experience of mentoring Software Engineers / Junior Engineers
· Demonstrable experience of customer-centric development work
· Programming skills with C/C++ and Javascript
· Experience in both Windows and Linux environments
· Experience with hiring and mentorship of engineers
· Proficiency in English
