The Amazon Freight Pricing Team is responsible for building and improving cutting edge technologies that optimize our pricing and costing systems which allow shippers to reliably lower their overall freight costs, while taking advantage of Amazon unparalleled service.

Our team leverages emerging solutions in big data and machine learning to design and manage high volume, low latency, and high availability services.

As a Sr. Program Manager on this team you will on large scale, cross-functional initiatives across network planning, operations, product management and sales to drive improvements in Amazon Freight's real-time supply and demand matching. You will be responsible for ensuring excellent operational performance of our network, as well as developing and executing short and long term programs which allow us to meet the highest expectations that shippers and carrier partners have for Amazon. In addition, you will have a high degree of ownership over the core business metrics, goals and outcomes.

You’ll work in a fast paced environment and will be required to lead not only at the strategic level, but also tactically day-to-day by diving deeply into business and technical domains. You will dig into complicated, large data problems daily, and generate insights which help us grow.

To accomplish this, you will be expected to have an established background in business analysis, product development, excellent project management skills, great communication, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast paced environment. You should be somebody who enjoys working on complex systems, obsesses about your customers both internal and external. Experience operations, supply chain technology, and transportation will be very applicable.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· MBA or Master’s degree in related field
· Proven track record of taking ownership and delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
· Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions
· Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade offs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners
· Strong verbal and written communication skills – experience managing teams and engaging with senior leadership

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or the equivalent required
· 6+ years of professional experience with 3+ years of product management experience
· Demonstrated people and organizational management skills
· Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects on tight deadlines
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Proven record of innovation and thought leadership
