DESCRIPTION

The Consumer Services Distribution (aka Fuse) team works across Amazon to bring our consumer service offerings, including Prime, Prime Video, Amazon Music Unlimited, Twitch Prime, Kindle, Alexa, and more, to mobile operators and OEMs globally. We are looking for a talented, data-driven Marketing Analyst to be the reporting and analytics expert for our marketing operations team.

The right candidate will have a track record of establishing and defining marketing KPI dashboards, and is capable of interpreting complex data sets and translating metrics into actionable recommendations. This role will work closely with the Field Marketing and BI/Finance team to unlock insights, and present complex information to multiple levels and roles within our organization in ways that others understand and can apply to their daily work. More specific responsibilities include 1) executing customer analytics to discover additional insights in various aspects of the business (eg: Fuse customer behavior, CX insights, marketing dashboards & Mobile engagement) and 2) converting marketing problem statements to insights and potential actions that can be taken to influence marketing with partners.

Responsibilities include:
· Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling recommendations into a digestible and actionable format
· Tune complex query performance using profiling tools and SQL
· Create strong user-centric dashboards to support a range of users across levels and geos
· Support data needs related to business cadence such as weekly, monthly, quarterly business reviews
· Partner with Business Intelligence Engineer/Data Scientist stakeholder groups in order to seek better customer segmentation, attributes and behavioral characteristics for our long-term growth strategy
· Conduct trend analysis to identify opportunities, highlight strengths, and provide recommended corrective actions
· Proactively shape new ways to track, visualize, and unlock insights around partner marketing, not just for current marketing channels but future engagement platforms

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· MBA with concentration in Business or Finance
· Experience with BI solutions development using services on AWS such as Redshift, Quicksight, Tableau
· Experience in R and/or Python (preferred but not mandatory)
· Advanced understanding of best practice analysis, programming and visualization techniques
· Able to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization that can scale quickly
· Comfortable with ambiguity, and have an affinity for building from scratch

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's Degree
· 5+ years relevant experience in financial/business analysis
· Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
· Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
· Experience in SQL
· Experience with Microsoft Excel
· Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science or related fields
· 5+ years professional experience in an analyst role at an enterprise-level technology company
· Advanced SQL skills, advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and analytical platforms
· Experience building reports, dashboards, and business forecasting models
· Ability to work collaboratively with non-technical team members and successfully translate business questions into analytical requirements
· Effective presentation of information and strong communication skills
