AWS CloudTrail is the foundation service that delivers insights into user activity, API events and alerts. We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager who will be responsible for driving and advancing the next generation of CloudTrail capabilities using state-of-the-art innovation. As Principal Engineer on AWS CloudTrail, you'll work with an outstanding development team building one of the largest auditing and compliance event management systems on the planet.

In this role, you will have an uncanny ability to understand large-scale systems, pinpoint problem areas, uphold software quality, and drive design with constant engagement with engineers and business owners. You are a builder with good working knowledge of cloud technologies, Serverless Computing, ML and Cloud Management/orchestration tools. You will build and evolve programs to hire, develop, and retain top talent, and rapidly deliver new systems to meet emergent business needs.

You will be responsible for driving quality and enabling technical innovation. You will manage evolving / complex demands, including multiple projects with dependencies on other internal organizations.

The right candidate will possess proven technical leadership skills with extensive experience complex distributed big data systems. This candidate will be responsible for driving quality and enabling technical innovation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Exceptional and effective verbal and written communication skills.
· Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Extensive experience with the design and development of fault-tolerant, large-scale distributed systems
· Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
· AWS experience
· Deep hands-on technical expertise
· Strong business and technical vision.
· Experience managing design/development of machine learning systems.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 8+ years of experience building and managing development teams that design and deliver large distributed systems.
· 8+ years of experience managing and effectively operating a complex system that is highly reliable and scalable.
· Bachelors in Computer Science or Engineering is required
· Responsible for delivering and owning large-scale, cross company systems.
· Develops long-term strategies and influences leadership decisions
