What will you help us create?

The Role:
As a Hardware Engineer - Camera/Signal Algorithm, you will invent cutting edge image and other sensory signal processing algorithms and take them all the way from concept to Amazon consumer products. While working closely with camera and sensor engineers, software engineers and product management, you will guide the team to solve complex engineer challenges and invent new ways to bring joy and value to our customers. Part of your role is to guide and develop more junior engineers and to manage your own deliverables.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Outstanding problem solving skills
· MSc or PhD in technical area
· Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
· Experience of working with remote teams and/or cross-functional teams
· Experience in leading product development projects, from concept through to production
· Knowledge in any of these:
o Image signal processors algorithms and architecture
o Camera algorithms
o Color science, image and video quality
o CMOS image sensors, optics, and actuators
o Machine learning and computer vision
o Embedded software development lifecycle

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience with digital imaging systems, signal and image processing algorithms and/or physics of sensors
· Experience with Matlab or Python and C/C++
· B. Sc. in Physics, Engineering, Math, CS, Imaging science, Optical Science or equivalent
· Experience of bringing algorithms for low-level sensors or cameras to production
· 3+ years of industry experience
