We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join as Business Intelligence Engineer – EU Access Point.

The EU Access Point program is looking for a motivated individual with strong skills and experience in the areas of operations excellence and data driven decision analysis to join our team in Luxembourg. This role combines both business planning and financial modelling with an opportunity to build and develop tools for a growing program. Access Points represent an alternative network of delivery options for Amazon customers and currently include Amazon Locker (+5,000 kiosks across 8 countries in EU), an array of 3rd party (+95,000 pickup points) and 1 party / carrier agnostic solutions across the EU.

As a proven operations analyst, you'll have plenty of experience analysing supply chains, transportation or financial data in a fast-paced environment – so you'll be no stranger to coordinating your workload and operating at a strategic level.

We expect you to have an in-depth understanding of Excel, Access, SQL and VBA, although any knowledge of programs like Python, R, Tableau will also stand you in good stead. In short, you'll know quantitative analysis techniques inside out, getting the right data from the right sources and thinking strategically of our long-term plans.

The ultimate goal of EU AP BIE will be to automate manual work associated with reporting and enable a self-service capability for reporting and basic analytics to eliminate the need for the basic business question. The EU AP BIE will drive the transition of the focus of the team from generating data and reports to extractig information from data and generating vauable business insights, including moving towards advanced analytics.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

+3 years of experience in operations supply chain analysis/ financial analysis, business process analytics, including data warehousing and business intelligence tools, techniques and technology.

Strong tactical level operator; thrive on analytics and detailed investigation; able to coordinate workload.

Technical Expertise- in-depth knowledge of planning and analysis tools; solution driven approach to system and process; advanced computer literacy (MS Excel, MS Access/other Database); R, Python, SQL are not optional.

Decision Making/ Complex Problem Solving- proactively gathers the right data from appropriate sources, probes/considers all of the facts, considers other perspectives; conducts root cause analysis; refers to long term plans and goals; prioritises key factors; acts decisively, promptly and confidently; complex analysis.

Proficiency with quantitative analysis, and databases. Particularly expertise in Data Modelling and Data Warehousing.

Graduate with a Degree in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Computer Science or other quantitative area.

Advanced analytical skills and detail-oriented, while also seeing and understanding the big picture.

Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects.

Excellent communication and presentation skills working with multiple peer groups and different levels of management.

Positive thinking, creativity, fun on the job.

Fluent in English.
