DESCRIPTION

AWS is seeking a talented Data Engineer to join the growing, fast-paced EMEA Sales Strategy, Operations & Enablement team. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in the exciting space of the Amazon Web Services.

As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will be responsible for understanding and mining large amounts of data, build metrics and drive customer adoption. You will have a department-wide view of the analytical solutions that you build, and you will consistently think in terms of automating or expanding the results company-wide. You should be a self-starter who knows and loves working with BI tools, and who thrives on implementing creative approaches and dealing with the intricate complexity of large data sets, while partnering with customers to answer key business questions. You are analytical and creative, and you don't quit. You seek to understand the business objectives relevant to your area and align your work to those objectives and seek to deliver business value.

We are looking for an individual that recognizes and adopts best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation. You write high quality code to retrieve and analyze data as well as analyze and solve business problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context. Developing pragmatic analyses and choosing applicable solutions that add value to your business area, you understand data resources and know how, when, and which to use (and which not to use).

Key Responsibilities include:
· Identifying internal customer requirements and business problems, and developing appropriate solutions with measurable impact on scale and productivity
· Collaborate with business analysts, data engineering, sales operations, finance, and sales teams to deliver scalable consumption of analytics insights and statistics
· Support the analytical needs of the team inclusive of routine reporting, statistical inference, predictive modeling, and simulation
· Consolidating data from various sources and automation of reporting processes.
· Developing solutions to collect and consolidate new data points.
· Being responsible for projects throughout their lifespan - from conception, to requirements gathering, to launch and beyond.
· Driving best practices and technical excellence.

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Excel Expert. VBA mastery is essential
· Strong SQL
· Good Python knowledge
· ETL wizard
· QuickSight, Tableau, PowerBI, or other visualization tools
· Data warehousing principles
· Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical colleagues
· Thinking “outside the box”, and an “If it ain't broke, break it” mentality
· AWS exposure
