DESCRIPTION

The AppStream 2.0 team is looking for a skilled Customer Success Engineer to help our customers accelerate their adoption of application streaming on AWS. This is an excellent opportunity to help customers migrate their existing workloads and advise them on building resilient application streaming architectures. Your responsibilities will include: owning the technical engagement and ultimate success of specific customer implementations, defining implementation architectures, and troubleshooting customer challenges.

Are you a Systems Administrator with a deep understanding of the Windows (Server 2012R2/2016, 7/10) and Linux operating systems, Active Directory, SCCM, and SCOM? Can you build automated solutions for deploying and managing large scale Windows environments? Are you passionate about solving customer challenges? Do you enjoy crafting creative solutions? Amazon AppStream 2.0 is a fully managed, secure application streaming service that allows you to stream desktop applications from AWS to any device running a web browser, without rewriting them. This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. citizen and must currently possess an active Top Secret security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and satisfy other security related requirements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Knowledge of Linux operating system: Amazon Linux, RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu
· Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7/10/Server 2012R2/Server 2016
· Excellent TCP/IP networking fundamentals and experience in troubleshooting network issues related to (but not exclusively): Active Directory, DNS, subnetting, routing
· Ability to extend automation/system management tools and processes that reduce manual efforts and increase overall efficiency.
· Demonstrated experience managing shared file storage/systems
· Develop automated toolsets to accelerate troubleshooting and customer success.
· Develop scripts and programs that will qualify Windows OS platform and application deployments.
· Demonstrated in depth knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and troubleshooting tools.
· Demonstrable track record dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in an agile environment
· Clear, professional communication skills able to contribute to team discussions, knowing when to contribute, when to listen, and when to ask questions.
· Strong leadership skills and a successful track record of driving projects to completion
· Able to create and collaborate with others on the creation and maintenance of technical documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures, Runbooks, Job Sheets, etc.
· One or more of the following AWS certifications: Solutions Architect - Associate, Developer - Associate, SysOps Administrator - Associate
· One or more of the following Microsoft certifications: Microsoft Technology Associate - Cloud, Microsoft Technology Associate - Desktop, Microsoft Technology Associate - Applications, Microsoft Certified Professional for Enterprise Apps
· 3+ years architecting and managing non-persistent application streaming environments
· Experience with SAML2.0 identity providers/federation, and Linux-based LDAP
· Ability to program to solve problems and automate repetitive tasks in a common scripting or programming language such as Python, Ruby, Perl, PowerShell, Windows Batch, and/or VBScript.
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role

* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or 5+ years relevant work experience
* 3+ years supporting Microsoft Active Directory in an Enterprise Environment
* 3+ years of experience in the design and implementation of complex IT systems
