We are looking for a Regional Financial Analyst for Liability, Financial Lines and Cyber (m/f/d) in the Business Partnering team, based in Munich. 

  

Your Team

 

Within the Chief Finance Office (CFO) Global Performance Steering (GPS), the Business Partnering team is a key contributor to foster bold and proactive steering towards Allianz Commercial’s growth plans. The team has a clear mandate to not only support, but also challenge the business leaders and be a constructive and insightful partner for the senior leadership team. 

 

The Impact You Will Have

 

You will be responsible for the performance steering of the Liability, Financial Lines and Cyber Lines of Business (LoB) for selected regions. You will perform standard planning and reporting tasks as well as other value-adding analyses to provide transparency on drivers behind current and future financial performance and support the decision-making process and portfolio steering.   

 

The position provides comprehensive insights into the LoB’s financials & strategy and supports the respective business leaders. You will play a key role in building bridges between our Finance and Underwriting departments as well as sharing best practice within Global Performance Steering (GPS) and the wider finance community.   

 

This is an excellent career opportunity for someone who has experience within either a Finance or Underwriting environment and can combine this with excellent stakeholder management and business acumen skills. Some of your specific responsibilities could include: 

 

·  Provide financial analyses and assessments on the financial performance of the LoBs Liability, Financial Lines and Cyber in selected Regions, identify key drivers, risks and opportunities and provide recommendations 
·  Present conclusions in a transparent way with robust financial commentary to enable decision-making 
·  Perform regular reporting, forecasting and planning processes for the LoBs Liability, Financial Lines and Cyber  in selected Regions 
·  Support Regional Business Partnering Head for Germany & Switzerland and Central Europe in providing a comprehensive view on global performance of the LoBs, based on input by the Regions 
·  Address customer requests and perform other ad-hoc tasks 
·  Support best-practice sharing and increase efficiencies, setting and harmonizing global standards 
·  Participate in projects and implement initiatives 

 

What You’ll Bring to the Role 

 

·  Experience within the financial services industry, ideally P&C insurance or reinsurance as well as 2-3 years’ experience in performance management (e.g. Controlling area)   
·  Solid understanding of insurance; sector-specific financial statements and performance measurement  
·  Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to handle and analyze large amounts of data  
·  Excellent communication skills with the ability to understand, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively to a variety of stakeholders including senior management  
·  Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills to analyze data effectively and convey compelling and engaging messages  
·  Knowledge of reporting tools (e.g. SAP BW and SAP Analytics Cloud)   
·  Comfortable working in a global team and maintaining effective remote relationships  
·  Fluent English skills are required, German skills would be a plus.
