Head of Financial Planning and Analysis

As Head of Financial Planning & Analysis you will be responsible for coordinating Allianz Benelux’ financial planning and steering. Including (cost) budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning, to drive our financial decision-making and support our business objectives in the competitive insurance industry.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·  Lead Planning and Budgeting Efforts : Partner with executive leadership to formulate robust financial strategies that align with the company's long-term goals, and translate these into concrete and actionable budgets. Coordinate, plan and drive the annual financial planning process, keeping holistic oversight on all dimensions (insurance, investments, costs) to ensure consistency.
·  Financial Reporting and Analysis : Analyze financial and non-financial data to identify trends, measure performance relevant market benchmarks/peers, and provide actionable insights to senior management. Develop comprehensive financial models and forecasts that allow to steer the company in-line with its strategic goals.
·  Performance Monitoring : Track financial performance, providing regular updates, insights and recommendations to the Board of Management. Leveraging dynamic dashboarding tools like PowerBI, Power Query and other BI tools.
·  Operational Efficiency : Drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiencies across the Performance & Steering team and improve collaboration across Finance.
·  Team Leadership : Manage and mentor the FP&A teams (consisting of up to 8 persons), fostering an positive environment that supports personal development, continuous improvement, and high performance.
·  Stakeholder Management : Communicate financial metrics and strategic advice effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including non-financial personnel.

 

Do the check: This is what we are looking for:

·  Masters’ degree in Economics, Econometrics/Statistics, Actuarial, Mathematics or a related field;
·  Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the insurance industry;
·  Knowledge on IFRS17 /IFRS9 and Solvency 2 will be an advantage;
·  Strong leadership skills and experience managing finance teams;
·  Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
·  Proficient with financial software and advanced Excel skills, programming knowledge (Python, SAS, R, other) is a benefit.
·  Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, strong senior stakeholder management
