Data Scientist - Global Procurement

Job description

The Procurement Analytics team at Allianz is a new operation within the Group, charged with creating state-of-the-art data and analytics pipelines for the spend data of the Allianz Group.  We are looking for an experienced software architect to oversee the buildup and operation of cloud services that will deliver unprecedented visibility over a multibillion-euro portfolio of expenditure to optimize savings potential.

 

You will

This role will have oversight over all our department's cloud-based operations.  The successful hire will supervise our main data channels and services and serve as the representative of the department in our technical partnerships throughout the organization.  Key responsibilities include:

·  Design and automation of API communication to backend systems
·  Creation and supervision of CI/CD piplelines for data cleaning, transformation, and testing
·  Management of technical interface to external consultants to ensure quality and successful handover
·  Implemenation of good software development practices in the design of data transformation code
·  Close coordination with Data Scientists to ensure transparent and robust code development

Your skills

 

Minimal Skills

·  Bachelors degree in Data Science or other Engineering, 3-5 years' experience in Data Science or Statistics.  Facility with Python and CI/CD development.

Preferred Skills

·  Bachelors degree in Data Science, 2 years' experience in a Lead Data Science or Project Management role.  Python and web front-end development experience.
