Cleaner/Housekeeper

15hrs per week (Mornings, Monday to Friday 0700-1000)

My client is looking to welcome a new cleaner to their team on a part time basis.

This will initially be on a temporary basis for 1 month with a view to going permanent thereafter.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background and understanding of cleaning and housekeeping with excellent knowledge of health and safety in the workplace and experience of cleaning in a commercial environment.

Role Requirements

The candidate will be required to undertake the day to day cleaning of the entire facility including the separate buildings of additional factory space and canteen. Full training will be provided to conduct these duties to company and industry standards and requirements.

Internal and External cleaning of property including, emptying of bins, disposal of obstructing items and boxes in office areas and reducing potential hazards.

Keeping clear and safe building entrances as well as ensuring the exterior of the building is presentable and clear from litter at all times.

The role will also include the cleaning of windows internally and externally where and when appropriate.
Ensuring safety standards are met for all employee working areas and reducing potential risks.

Ensuring the reception and meeting area is presentable at all times and ready for use.

Office environments are well maintained and well prepared and suitable for use.

There may also be a requirement to undertake additional ad-hoc cleaning of a residential premises as and when needed for business purposes. Therefore, flexibility with hours would be required and will be paid accordingly.

Person Specification

The candidate will be proactive and approachable in their work with the ability to work well on their own initiative as this is a standalone role.

Forward thinking approach to work is essential with good attention to detail and time management.

Must also be willing to be flexible on hours if and when necessary to meet the needs of the business.

Full UK Driving Licence preferable as the role will require a short two minute car journey to an external facility for cleaning and on ad-hoc occasions to a residential property within a 15/20minute drive away.
