My client is looking for a Multi Skilled Maintenance assistant/ Technician to join their team on a temporary basis ASAP, initially for 12 weeks.

The role Is to carry out both routine preventative maintenance tasks and corrective repairs to ensure the continued safe, reliable operation of the site assets.

·  Complete all activities / maintenance tasks in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with legislation and company procedures.

·  Complete assigned maintenance task / requests (breakdown, preventive, modification or project work) in line work order requirements ensuring completion within agreed timelines.

·  Carry out essential routine preventative maintenance tasks such as lubrication of rotating equipment, replacing filters and topping up mechanical seal pots.

·  Carry out corrective repairs of basic equipment such as trolleys, fittings and portable equipment.

·  Carry out routine inspection, repair or replacement of assets such as ladders, working platforms and hoses.

·  Maintain and optimise assets register and processes and procedures for assets maintained.

·  Provide support to the maintenance team during routine and non-routine activities.

·  Provide standby man / banksman duties for tasks such as confined space entries and operation of mobile elevated work platforms.

·  Be able to operate works vehicles, forklift trucks, mobile elevated work platforms as required to support maintenance tasks including delivery and collection of items and assets.

·  Ensure consumables used by the maintenance team both in the workshop and satellite workshops are replenished as required.

·  Ensure workshop housekeeping standards are maintained including disposal of workshop waste / recycling such as oil, metals and general waste.

Knowledge

·  Safe Systems of Work on industrial plants

·  A good working knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management System

Skills

·  Effective communications

·  Computer literate (Word, Excel and AX)

·  Approved for the inspection of Hoses, steps and working platforms

·  Full UK Driving Licence.

·  FLT Licence

·  MEWP Licence

Experience

·  Engineering background.

·  Physically fit.

·  Flexible approach to work organisation.

·  Work with the minimum amount of supervision.

Qualifications Required:

NVQ level 2 or similar in an Engineering discipline
