Our fantastic client are currently looking for a deployment engineer to join their team in an exciting new opportunity.
As deployment Engineer you will be required to carry out a variety of activities including processing and installation/deployment of hardware on company premises and client sites. In addition, you will also be answering support calls on the service desk when required.
This role will cover new and existing projects in multiple sectors that include Educations, Healthcare, Government and Private.
Although the role is based in Stevenage, part of the variety of the role will require you to travel to customer sites across the UK throughout the week.
Out of hours and overtime may be available depending on the project requirements. Due to potential on site activities, access to your own vehicle is recommended.
Responsibilities
· Preparation of equipment prior to deployment or de-commissioning
· The deployment/re-commissioning of IT equipment
· Removal and safe transportation of legacy equipment
· Executing Script driven installation processes
· Escalation of any deployment issues to other parties
· Documenting of all asset and serial numbers of new/legacy devices
· Project specific system processing, including imaging to bagging
· Cover for 1st line telephone help desk support
· Warehouse management, including ensuring correct levels of cleanliness and stock management requirements are followed
Skills
· Interest and knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office products
· Self motivated and willingness to learn
You may be subjected to a DBS check and SC National security clearance depending on the customer requirements.
