Working within Accenture Technology, the Solution Architect has a key role in the supporting the origination, interpretation of client requirements and handles the configuration of new and extended Application Outsourcing opportunities using standard solution offerings. Application Outsourcing includes the Application Management and Application Development (Enhancement/Projects) services related to a new or upgraded custom built or packaged software.
Once configured, the Solution Architect will drive sign-off on the technology solution and act as an interface with the delivery organization to ensure effective transition, shape services and determine appropriate service delivery locations and related costs. The Solution Architect is as a key member of the sales team to represent the technology solution offering to the client/internal groups.
Key Responsibilities
· Assisting the Application Services and Operating Group Sales Teams in the origination and qualification of new opportunities where there is an Application Services component of work that support the overall sales target for ICEG.
· Rapid assimilation of the “As Is” situation from RFP documentation and/or at the client through direct meetings with client sponsors, analysis of data and use of external metrics to build up a baseline position
· Able to translate “As-Is” situations, buyer requirements into standard solutions and develop the approach and the “To-Be” business case
· Identify the inputs required to create cost estimates; Preparing the cost model estimates working with Service Delivery, our Delivery Centres and Finance professionals to shape the cost base of the “To-Be” solution
· Secure solution approval from stakeholders in our Delivery and Quality Assurance teams, mitigating risks identified in the reviews with the appropriate contractual mechanism
· Able to articulate the levers of the solution to optimise the cost base during solution iterations
· Work to Accenture's standards in solution design and confirm that those standards are appropriate to each client situation
· On larger opportunities where there is an Accenture Technology, Accenture Consulting, Accenture Digital or Accenture Operations component to the solution, engage with peers in those teams to ensure consistency in the overall solution design
· Keep up to date with the firm-wide agenda to industrialise delivery and conform to recognised standards of maturity such as CMMI and industry frameworks such as ITIL and eSCM
· Cooperate with the Client Service Groups to prepare the pricing and the value proposition
· Represent Accenture Technology at New Business Meetings, Quality Assurance Approvals, Technology reviews and participate in Capital Committee reviews as appropriate
· Participate as a key member of the client facing sales team, representing the solution in RFP responses, formal presentations and interactive client workshops. Work with third party advisors (where applicable) and build relationships with key sponsors in the client's organisation
· Demonstrate commercial acumen in the closure of the sales (including authoring statement of work, schedules and other contractual documents) and supporting negotiation of specific Technology elements of the agreement
· Show appreciation of the competitive environment in which Accenture operate and the positions those competitors have at our client so we can differentiate our solutions accordingly
· Actively demonstrate stewardship in the handover of the solution to stakeholders in delivery, articulating the elements of the solution needed to deliver success from day one
· Share knowledge encapsulated in the solution plans, deal economics, responses and solution highlights through the Global SA Portal and Knowledge Exchange

Qualifications :

· Experience of Solution Architecting Tools
· Experience of Systems Integration, Application Development, Application Maintenance and Support and
· Proposal development skills and the ability to articulate our value proposition or elements of it both verbally and in written communications
· Clear communicator and able to establish credibility with clients and internal stakeholders quickly and sustain that credibility
· Understanding of ICEG specific legislation on the transfer of employment
· Service mobilization and transition experience
· Service delivery experience
· Win Strategy Development skills
· Pricing Strategy skills including Ad Hoc Tool experience and/or working with Financial team
· Deal shaping and interpersonal skills
· Sales Pursuit Management skills
· Technical appreciation of application maintenance and development
