JOB DESCRIPTION:
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
Abbott manufacture specialist medical food and equipment for enterally (through tubes) fed patients, we aim to improve patient quality of life and meet their nutritional needs.
The Customer / Patient Support role is to support the patients feeding once they have left the hospital and returned home. This can be a challenging time for patients and our aim is to ensure that all of our patients are fully supported. Liaising with healthcare professional and GP's to ensure they have the feeding products they need and contacting patients monthly to check their stocks and arrange deliveries.
The team work closely with our dedicated nursing service who oversee the clinical aspects of patient feeding. Our customer service coordinators play an integral frontline role and are commited to delivering the highest levels of service to our patients. This is role for someone who wants to make a difference to peoples lives.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide the highest levels of customer care to both patients and healthcare professionals
- Arrange patient deliveries via telephone and email
- Answer patient and stakeholder enquiries, resolving all queries that might arise
- Use our internal database to log all patient and healthcare professional communication
- Manage daily workload as delegated by lead coordinator
- Communicate with internal & external stakeholders by phone & email
- Saturday morning and on-call Rota as required (paid as overtime)
- To meet all internal targets
- Other duties include but are not limited to;
Updating of patient records, processing chemist orders, prescription collection, pump troubleshooting & uplifts

This is role for someone who wants to make a difference to people's lives. All new starters will undertake a 3-month training programme overseen by our team trainer
Our team work 7.5 hours per day Monday to Friday on a shift pattern covering 8.00am-6.30pm. Coordinators work one Saturday a month 9.00am-1.00pm paid at x1.75 on top of salary. There is ample opportunity for additional overtime and once fully trained you will have the opportunity to work on-call shifts from home, paid as overtime.
