This is an exciting opportunity to join CGI, a world class IT company, for a permanent position in Victoria, BC, where we provide leading IT services to our local clients that help make a difference in the lives of the people of British Columbia.

The individual joining this team will become a member of the local Agile practice and help to establish and grow Agile, Scrum and DevOps within the BC region for CGI, applying their expertise and experience to both client initiative.

Your future duties and responsibilities
The Scrum Master will lead and mentor a team of dedicated experts, drawing upon CGI’s global capabilities as well as their own experience to lead the Scrum team in delivering either products or systems in accordance with the processes, schedules and expected costs. The Scrum Master acts as facilitator for the team and Product Owner. You'll be expected to:

Be an effective communicator at all levels, both in structured and non-hierarchical, informal structures
Provide strong organizational change management orientation
Enable and maintain processes and communication to support geographically distributed agile delivery

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
5 years of experience in an agility delivery / transformation / training / coaching role (mandatory)
Experience in coaching and leadership skills
Experienced negotiator
Politically savvy and sensitive to cultural diversity
Hands-on experience and accountability for delivery outcomes using Agile practices
Certified or equivalent experience in at least one additional Agile Delivery apart from Scrum; and very strong knowledge of Scrum and SAFE Framework
Knowledge of creating Agile frameworks for project team assessments
Experience in DevOps is considered an asset
