Job Description

The purpose of the Specification Control and Material controller role is to define variant specifications, manage the BOM and coordinate with the parts procurement of all Test Objects handled by Project Builds
This means:
Collect needs and identify corresponding variants.
Specify complete variant specifications in PROTOM
Coordinate and manage all the needed variant changes for all Test Objects in new build handled by Project Builds.
Export Item to Variant structure from KOLA to PROTOM for each test object/ build series.
Manage PROTOM BOM review.
Break down BOM structure to right part level to be able to place the correct requisitions.
Manage Late Changes (LC) and Modification Requests (MR) in PROTOM
Place requisitions for prototype parts and sub-assembly components
Coordinate with Purchasing for the release of purchase orders
Coordinate with Delivery Controllers to ensure delivery on time by mitigating potential risks and resolving supply chain issues
Be the liaison contact for PD commodities (Cab, EE and CVD), Purchasing, Powertrain and Manufacturing in material issues

Qualifications and Key Attributes:
Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering, With Overall experience 3-4 years in the automobile industry.
Good Product Knowledge of Commercial Vehicles
Good knowledge of Product Development Life Cycle. Exposure to various truck application usage / understandings.
Excellent networking and interpersonal skills with good verbal and written communication.
Team player, Agile, Self-driven, High Energy, Organized and Goal oriented are the Key Attributes.
