Poste et missions:
Reporting to the Technical Manager, the R&D engineer takes in charge the development of products and accessories from the concept phase until the launch in production. In collaboration with other departments, he ensures that each project reply to customer requirements and is managed with a “quality-cost-delivery” approach. Based on candidate evolution and skills, more managerial responsibilities might be considered.
New products definition and projects management (20%)
Study the projects’ feasibility and estimate planning, resources and cost
Redact technical specifications based on customer specifications
Communicate on projects’ progress and adjust planning based on priorities
Concept and prototyping (50%)
Perform D-FMEA studies to anticipate challenges and opportunities
Design products and components with CAD software (2D and 3D)
Design packaging and labels
Build the Bill of Materials and manage raw materials in the ERP and order samples
Prepare prototypes and pre-validate it (construction, performances, function)
Update products’ design based on pre-validation and customer feedbacks
Pre-production follow-up (10%)
Provide technical support to Industrialization and Production teams
Update products’ design based on pre-production feedback
Engineering Change (20%)
Study the demands’ feasibility and propose technical solutions
Update designs of products and components with CAD software (2D and 3D)
Prepare prototype and pre-validate it
Profil:
Organized and results oriented
Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead & participate in cross-functional work
teams
Strong analytics skills and knowledge in standard scientific methods
Strong mechanical background. Electrical background is a plus
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Sound judgment and decision making
Leadership skills
Ability to translate skills and knowledge to others
Proficient level of English, French and Chinese are a plus
Basic skills in Microsoft applications
