Mechanical Shift Technician

Location: Dublin West

Duration: Permanent

Overview of the role:

This role is at a greenfield Bio-pharma facility in West Dublin, which is currently undergoing commissioning. The role involves utilities systems operations & maintenance on a shift basis.

The role will be responsible for operating utilities systems to ensure maximum uptime in support of the client's production process and resolving operational issues relating to utilities plant and equipment, to ensure maximum uptime of same.

The role will liaise with the site commissioning department, client engineering and equipment vendors for all issues relating to the utilities systems.




Day to day of the role:

Operation, Maintenance and trouble-shooting of site black & clean utilities systems.

Completion of all related documentation in compliance with site and regulatory rules and guidelines

·
Delivery of delegated engineering tasks in compliance with good engineering practice and all regulatory, statutory and corporate requirements;

·
Keep training current in line with client's requirements, i.e. SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures), EWI's (Engineering Work Instructions), etc.

·
All work on site to be carried out in accordance with site EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) and Veolia EHS rules and guidelines.

·
Liaise with client engineering

Any other activities as directed by the Veolia Site Manager




Required skills for this role:

·
Mechanical Senior Trade, City & Guilds or equivalent.

·
Senior Trades, City & Guilds or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical / Building Services engineering

·
2 years minimum Building Services / Utilities experience and good understanding of the basic fundamentals of utilities systems including Steam Boilers, Air Compressors, Plant steam systems and ancillary services (DHW / /LPHW skids), Chillers, Cooling Towers.

·
Maintenance & Operations experience in industrial environment;

·
Working to defined EHS standards

·
Operation of systems using SCADA interface.

·
Ability to document operating procedures and Maintenance Task Lists using a Computerised Maintenance Management system

·
Maintenance and troubleshooting experience of the utilities systems
