Located in Da Nang, Vietnam, a hotbed for tech and culture, and one of the best cities to live in Asia, the newest studio will focus on developing “Instant Games”, powered by HTML 5 technology, for several social platforms. This new playstyle has boomed significantly on social media on a worldwide scale boasting today millions of daily users. The teams at Ubisoft Da Nang will also collaborate with other studios on the development of mobile games.

As a UI Artist, your main responsibilities will be to:   

·  Work on the design of the User Interface of our games from two different points of view:
·  Creating the visual style of all the User Interface in the game according with the art direction, and consistent throughout the entire project
·  Helping in the ergonomic design of the UI, making proposals of layouts and participating in all the stages of the game development with producers and designers to get the best functional design
·  Creation of all facets of the User Interface including: mockups, wireframes, icons, animations, UI style guides, general art and documentation, and final assets, in both prototypes and final products:
·  Delivering the assets in the proper quality, format and time so other team members can use them
·  Being able to manage all the UI assets of a game, being in charge of the maintenance of the UI art repository
·  Technical integration, bug fixing and visual polish of final design
·  Communicate designs in a technical manner for programming implementation
·  Identify priorities and gaps in current designs, and contribute/iterate creative solutions.
·  Provide artwork to support team-wide project communication and vision
·  Mentoring and guiding the more junior members of the team
·  Bachelor  in art media, graphic design or equivalent relevant experience
·  Graphic design skills: sketching, wire framing and storyboarding abilities on paper and screen
·  An understanding of UI conventions and challenges for different mobile screens
·  An excellent understanding of the full pipeline for getting UI assets into a game engine, such as 3D tool blinder
·  Expertise with Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite and adobe XD
·  Great skills with form and typography
·  A portfolio showing your skills in color, composition, clarity and usability.
·  Aware of current and upcoming design and typographical trends
·  Ability to multi-task and to adapt easily to change
·  Experience with 3D tools (Blender, 3D Max…)
·  Passion for games and some knowledge of the game industry
·  Fluent spoken and written English
