Job Description

The Business Analyst will prepare the Reporting and Business Analytics for the US Polymer organization.

·  Review and lead discussion of monthly financial results with Business Team. Prepare monthly KPI's package.
·  Indirect working relationship with chemical accounting to review/analyze monthly financial results and variances from forecast to actual.
·  Prepare and coordinate business unit's Long-Term Plan and annual operating budget, coordinated with European counterpart. This activity includes analysis of operating costs, financial results, cashflow, CMO and ROACE. Ensure global template is linked and update correctly.
·  Prepare and coordinate business unit's annual participation in benchmarking study by outside consultant. Review and analyze findings and organize meeting to present to management.
·  Prepare and report business unit's operating data and market segment information to industry clearing house. Analyze and prepare report to management and sale force when industry data are available.
·  Perform profitability analysis on product/salesman level and communicate to appropriate level of organization.
·  Perform various ad hoc studies, analyses to support sales efforts, capacity expansion and operation support.

Candidate profile

Finance/Accounting, Engineering, or Science degree.
5+ years of industry/business experience
MBA/CPA preferred
SAP knowledge including both data preparation and management reporting is preferred
Exceptional communication and presentation skills required
Advanced level in PowerPoint and Excel is required.

Context and environment

Preparation of LTP is a 3-4 month process that requires working with the global BU, BU, IND RPA and R&D.
Financial Controller combines all inputs, checks harmonization and performs variance analysis in completing the LTP.
Final LTP plan includes financial objectives templates and management presentations.
Additional job challenges include being part of the global team, managing the relationship with Europe counterparts, meeting tight and evolving deadlines and consistency of products to be delivered to management.
