Job Summary

 

To deliver routine HR advice to managers and associates against the HR Services service catalogue and performance dashboard in each country of the HR Service Centre.

 

Take pride in the work of the team, contributing with suggestions to improve the service, constantly looking for opportunities to provide more materials to associates to make their lives easier.

 

The work of the HR Advisor – Cases is giving advice to and answering questions from managers and associates either on the phone or on email and is dependent on a good understanding of HR policies and processes in each country of the HR Service Centre.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Delivery of the Advisory service

·  Log cases onto the HR case management system
·  Deal with routine e-mail or telephone cases, giving the associate (whether manager or team member) advice and if appropriate helping them understand how to make their lives easier by self- serving in future
·  Be the first point of contact for associates who have questions about a launched HR programme
·  Provide support and coaching to associates to make their lives easier by encouraging them to self-serve where possible and appropriate
·  Triage more complex cases (especially process led-ER advice) passing ready-to-go cases to the Senior HR Advisor - Cases
·  Understand and interpret multi-country HR policies and processes to delivery advice

 

Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience

 

·  Confident and credible as the face of HR to the business
·  Experience of conflict management and resolution
·  Customer focused
·  Ability to challenge tactfully and to build capability to self-serve
·  Excellent communication skills both written and oral
·  Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining the customer service standards
·  Excellent IT skills (Word, Excel, Oracle)
·  Judgement of when a case is more complex and requires escalation to a Senior HR Advisor
·  Ability to spot patterns and identify where there is an opportunity for improvement
·  Working towards CIPD (or similar) would be an advantage but not essential
·  A strong and broad knowledge of HR policies and processes in the countries of the HR Service Centre would be an advantage
·  Experience of working in a HR Service Centre would be an advantage
