Energy Quality Specialist – Energy Products

The Energy Quality Specialist reports to the Regional Quality Assurance Manager on the Energy Products team. The Quality Assurance team is responsible for the successful installations of Tesla’s Energy Products through site audits, training, installation improvements, and cost reductions.

Responsibilities


·  Supervise solar installers, technicians, and subcontractors for solar installation projects to ensure compliance with safety standards
·  Assess system performance or functionality at the system, subsystem, and component levels through site visits with home owners
·  Coordinate or schedule building inspections for solar installation projects
·  Monitor work of contractors and subcontractors to ensure projects conform to plans, specifications, schedules, or budgets
·  Provide technical assistance to installers, technicians, or other Energy Storage professionals in areas such as Energy Storage electric systems, Energy Storage thermal systems, electrical systems, and mechanical systems
·  Evaluate subcontractors or subcontractor bids for quality, cost, and reliability
·  Prepare Energy Storage installation project proposals, quotes, budgets, or schedules
·  Estimate materials, equipment, and personnel needed for residential or commercial Energy Storage installation projects
·  Identify means to reduce costs, minimize risks, or increase efficiency of solar installation projects
·  Act as an ambassador for Tesla with home owners, addressing any and all concerns
·  Facilitate training events for Tesla installer channel partners to demonstrate proper installation procedures and techniques
·  Collect feedback from field installers to improve training programs; serve as voice-of-the-partner for our channel installation teams to strengthen training, communications, and partner relationship

Requirements


·  Minimum 3 years of field related experience in solar or energy storage installations
·  Licensed in either electrical, construction, or solar estimation or installation
·  Fluency in both spoken andwrittenItalianand English languages
·  Strong team-player
·  Previous experience working as a Manager of field related staff preferred
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·  Ability to work independently, detail oriented, and execution focused
·  Proven record of prioritizing effectively and handle shifting priorities Ability to work across multiple systems and platforms
·  Ability to provide clear, concise instruction in small groups to convey proper technique and procedure of technical installation requirements
·  Proven experience to address small to medium audiences in lecture format on technical topics
