Job purpose:

IT is undergoing a digital revolution, Unified Communications Portfolio is establishing itself as critical to how we work, it is truly a service that enables the business at all levels of company operations.

The position as Unified Communications Architect will with the Unified Communication Service team, challenge and innovate the company's interest regarding operations and development of Unified Communication solutions (instant messaging, persistent chat, telephony, all conferencing modalities, meeting room strategy and online conferencing solutions).

The position has responsibilities to maintain, challenge, architect and develop the systems globally. In addition, participating and running projects to expand current systems or deploy new systems/locations.

Reporting lines and interactions:

Hierarchically reports to: Domain Architect Manager

Directly supervises: None

Key interactions (internally, externally):

Internally: Unified Communications Manager, Unified Communications Engineers, Peers in Global IT organization & Global Business Colleagues
Externally: External operators, service providers and suppliers

Job scope (budget, management, specific criteria):

All site Unified Communications infrastructure including but not limited to: Telephony, All Conferencing Modalities, Telepresence, Contact Center/Call centre systems, voicemail, instant messaging, meeting room solutions.

o Ability to convince, organize and negotiate
o Able to define, validate and provide cost solutions for projects and bids for customer requirements
o Able to work in Global environment and culture, with flexible hour concept
o Capacity to control business requirements and constraints, maintaining focus on overarching objectives
o Confidence to challenge and disrupt commonly held UC conventions
o Demonstrable and in-depth expertise in UC design, particularly across complex IT network infrastructure environments
o Proficient project management skills and ability to manage time and complex tasks
o Strongly service orientation minded

Typical background and experience required:

Must have:

o Fundamental to the role is the ability to Interact with global multi-national team and willingness to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies whilst divesting already held knowledge and inspiring the wider UC team

o Batchelors Degree or relevant Technical Expertise

o A good team player with the ability to work under pressure
o Excellent communications in English and team work skills
o Experience acting as technical design authority to ensure interoperability of new and emerging technologies with existing infrastructure
o Experience in a lead role taking technical ownership of design and implementation on global deployment projects for large scale networks
o Flexible attitude to working hours
o Minimum 5 years of experience in support & implementation role on supporting large heterogeneous enterprise infrastructure.
o Minimum 7 years of experience working with ITIL processes, methodology or structured IT best practice frameworks
o Technical knowledge & experience to recognised Cisco qualification or similar level with focus on SDN/Cloud Solution, Data Centre, WAN, LAN, WLAN, MPLS, IPSEC, BGP, QoS, PBX & Unified Communications
o Strong personal efficiency and problem-solving skills; very concerned by security and standardisation/rationalisation aspects

Nice to have:
o Automation of processes experience
o Experienced in creating and completing low level documentation from high level designs and taking this through to completion
o Knowledge of TechnipFMC Business processes

Main accountabilities:

The Services in the scope are:

o All services in the Unified Communications portfolio

Main activities:

o Ensure IT Security and continuity providing security patching, software and hardware updates in the Unified Communication infrastructure area
o Ensures proper delivery of above services to the clients
o Evaluate new or innovative technologies and architectures in terms of Unified Communications
o Help define Unified Communications infrastructure design
o Keep unified communications documentation updated
o Manage Unified Communications changes/projects
o Manage Unified Communications device version upgrades
o Produce reports, proposals, technical documentation and user guides as required and ensure other team members and business associates are fully trained in the procedures
o Resolution of service desk requests as necessary
o Troubleshooting Unified Communications incidents

o Any other duties prescribed by Unified Communications and Domain Architect Managers
