UCOS Project Engineer

We are looking for a motivated engineering professional with passion to controls hardware and software to join our Controls & Automation Department in Krakow Engineering Center. As a Project Engineer, you will be cooperating closely with UCOS Team in Irvine, California and working with our customers to design solutions to control, monitor and automate their industrial processes.

On the senior level it is expected to demonstrate the ability to manage customer expectations and product quality from tendering through life of the field. This includes design and configuration of control systems of varying complexity and coaching peers in good design and better practices. The candidate must demonstrate process and project management skills to function effectively with customers, peers and the product development team.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

¡Designing, reviewing and implementing both the software and hardware components of a control system from instrumentation to operator HMI

¡Reading and reviewing PI&Ds and system schematics

¡Designing, reading and implementing control system function block logic

¡Implementing safe control system design and HMI user friendliness

¡Working with vendors and following up deliveries

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

¡Master's or Bachelor's Degree in one of the engineering fields:Mechatronics, Cybernetics, Chemical, Electrical, Computer Science or equivalent with focus on industrial process control

¡2+ or 5+ years of experience (depending on seniority level) with configuration and design of industrial control systems on the hardware, software or modeling side

¡Knowledge of industrial communication protocols Modbus RTU/TCP, OPC, Profibus, Profinet, HART or other

¡Natural drive towards automation of tasks and processes

¡Experience in using textual or visual coding languages such as VBA and LabView

¡Working knowledge of the Bash (Unix shell)

¡Understanding dynamics within linear and non-linear systems in general, but upstream oil and gas processes in special will be a plus

¡Basic skills in networking and the Windows and Linux operating system

¡Basic knowledge of IoT and cloud-based architecture and solutions

¡Ability to effectively operate in the project team environment

¡Strong oral and written communication skills in English (C1)

¡Willingness to travel to other TechnipFMC facilities, also on a short notice up to 20% of working time

¡Offshore certificate or ability to pass offshore certificate when required
