In this role, you will lead change to incorporate technical risk management, safety and reliability principles, standards, and processes into the site and global organization. Creates and executes project and product development safety and reliability program strategies and plan requirements to closure. Continuously improves TS&R practice and integration into company value streams.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

• Main Tasks
o Completes project and new product development TS&R activities in accordance with program requirements (FMECAs, HazOPs, Hazard Analysis, RCAs, SIS/SIL, etc.)
o Reviews design documentation, drawings, DBI's (database information), specifications, etc. of existing or new technology or applications. Ensures that assignments meet standards and performance requirements within area of expertise.
o Prepares documentation, information and communications such as ECN (Engineering Change Notices), DBI (Data Base Information) and engineering specifications and ensures conformance to all policies and procedures related to engineering functions, labor reporting and systems reporting.
o Independently develops solutions to non-recurring problems by analyzing, interpreting and evaluating various precedents and data. Anticipates potential problems and takes preventative actions.
o Consults with other departments on equipment designs and questions. Identifies root cause of problems. Develops alternative solutions and communicates associated benefits and risks
o Participates in planning and scheduling projects.
o Attends appropriate industry related professional society meetings and functions in order to stay informed of and make good use of new technology, products and personal development opportunities
o Prepare document(s) (e.g., project proposal, strategic project brief, project charter, project scope, product specifications) to define a project, establish expectations and gain support.
o Generate, document and execute a plan to select and/or develop technology.
o Ensures safety (behavior and conditions) is improving as measured by company goals, through proactive and positively interactions in all activities.
o Collaborates and facilitates with internal and external technical specialists, managers and directors to define project reliability strategies, work scopes, deliverables and performance standards.
o Maintains up-to-date knowledge on reliability technologies and systems from relevant external organizations and bodies to drive world-class strategies and ensure continuous improvement in areas of responsibilities.
o Insists that customers, process operators and process owners play their position and ensures requirements are mutually agreed upon, clear, measurable, and appropriately placed

• Purpose Responsibilities
o Leads change in company risk management, safety and reliability processes in accordance with industry standards, customer and internal requirements
o Leads the development of technical risk management strategies for projects and new product developments in accordance with established processes.
o Leads/facilitates reliability engineering analysis for projects and new product developments in accordance with established processes.
o Collaborates with product designers, operating facilities, partnership organizations and external supply chains to define, direct, and coordinate work and responsibilities throughout all stages of technology readiness Levels (TRLs).
o Manages the development and is responsible for delivery of established processes.
o The individual will translate the TS&R Program to actionable plans through written processes/maps and with minimal guidance.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor Degree in Engineering (or Master's degree).
• Minimum 15 years of reliability engineering experience across system, subsystem and product design applications.
• Expert experience with traditional safety and reliability engineering/risk management tools - HazID, HazOPs, Hazard Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Fault Trees, Reliability Block Diagrams, FEMA/FMECAs, Reliability Centered Maintenance, Safety Instrumented System/Safety Integrity Level standards, processes and execution compliance
• Demonstrated knowledge of Technical Safety and Reliability technologies and continuous improvement methods approaches and tools.
• Experience with product development and industrialization process.
• Previous experience as a technical lead required.
• Solid numeric analytical skills.
• Expertise in the areas of quality, and functional safety applications.
• Ability to effectively influence and impact across work groups and at all levels in the organization (working in a matrix environment).
• Ability to set a direction and execute within a cross-functional team.
• Background in the oil and gas industry preferred (surface or subsea completions).
• Understanding of new businesses, competing products/ technologies and profit impact of decisions.
