Job purpose:

Technip in Spain is looking for an Engineer to be in charge of the fulfilling inquiring and purchasing activities properly and within the assigned schedule and budget of the project.

Reporting lines and interactions:

·  Hierarchically reports to: Procurement discipline manager for purchasing.
·  Operationally reports to: Project Procurement Manager.
·  Directly supervises (operationally): N/A
·  Key interactions (internally, externally): Internally: Project Managers / Legal department / Engineering / Logistic / Finance / Expediter / Inspector. Externally : Vendors.

Profile:

·  Bachelor or Master Degree in Industrial Engineering
·  Minimum 3 years of experience in technical purchasing management in industrial projects or inspection of equipment / facilities in the chemical, petrochemical, oil and / or gas.
·  Fluent in English and Spanish.
·  Knowledge of SPMAT and SAP.
·  Negotiation skills.

Main accountabilities:

·  Fulfills simple inquiring and purchasing activities within time and budget
·  Makes sure all the information necessary for issuing the inquiry is available
·  Checks purchasing conditions are applicable to the project and if not, reports to the Project Procurement Manager
·  Supports to expedites bids
·  Supports in negotiations with vendors
·  Prepares the purchase order documents in due time and checks for quality
