Risk Quantification Expert (M/F)

Introduction to the Job

Reporting to the HSE Design Risk Quantification Department Manager, your role as Risk Quantification Officer will consist in providing technical support to the Risk Quantification Engineers working on TechnipFMC Projects (Oil, Gas, Industry – Onshore and Offshore). You will also be in charge to develop and consolidate department know-how in the Risk Quantification fields.

To carry out your mission, you will interact with the HSE Design Engineers and Head of Departments, the project Engineers and project Directors, the Client Representatives, the Partners Representatives and the other disciplines (Process, Piping, Civil and Offshore Structure…).

Your main duties will be:

To Provide technical support to the HSE Design Risk Quantification Engineers

·  Support engineer in selecting adequate tools and methodology to perform the different studies (Quantitative Risk Analysis, Fire Risk Analysis ; Explosion Risk Analysis, Cryogenic Risk Analysis, etc.)
·  Define / validate study basis and assumptions
·  Define / validate simulation tools settings or risk models (eg.PHAST®/Safeti® ; FLACS® ; KFX ; etc.)
·  Check / approve project deliverables
·  Contribute to Review or Audit as Chairman or Discipline representative

Develop Department capabilities in the technical fields of Risk Quantification

·  Consolidate project feedback
·  Ensure technology and regulatory watch
·  Prepare / update discipline typical and working instruction …
Propose / manage Development activities
·  Define R&D needs in partnership with the Head of Department
·  Perform or supervise R&D activities (Method; Tool, Approach …) done in the Department
·  Mentor Internships (from French School of Engineer or University)
·  Represent TechnipFMC in R&D Projects such as JIP (Joint Industry Project)
·  Train / Mentor Risk Quantification Engineers to Risk Quantification (Method, tools, softwares…)

Promote HSE Design activities and capability outside of the department (Internally and Externally)

You are meant for this job if

Chartered engineer (Chemical Engineering background, Process school, Process Engineering background or Industrial Risk Assessment Safety Engineering), you have been working for more than 10 years in the field of Risk Quantification / QRA / Safety Studies for the Oil and Gas or Process Industry using recognized approaches adopted on international Projects.

You are an expert in risk quantification (Accidental Event Identification / Frequency Analysis / Consequence modeling and Safety distances definition / Risk Calculation).

You are fully familiar with phenomenology of accidental event and an expert user software such as Phast®/Safeti®(DNV GL), FRED (Shell) as well as one of the following CFD software (FLACS® ; KFX® ; CFX ; StarCCM+).

Dynamic, proactive, rigorous, autonomous, analytical and good problem solver, you are easy going and team mate in order to evolve and assert yourself in a multicultural environment.

Your English is fluent.

Business trip (short time) in France and aboard are to be foreseen.
