Job Title:
EMIA Project Financial Controller (PFC)

Location:
Rome

Short Job Summary:
The PFC is in charge of the financial and administrative management of the project(s) assigned to him

Reporting Line:
Functionally and operationally reports to : Head of EMIA Financial Control
Directly supervises : None
Main Key interactions (internally, externally): Project Manager, Cost Control, all other finance departments, Internal Control, Auditors.

The role and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Administrative and Financial Management of the Project(s)
Ā·  Issue the Invoicing Procedure
Ā·  Follow-up of Client invoicing and payments
Ā·  Coordinate the financial and administrative issues during the warranty period (close-out of the project)

Accounting
Ā·  Monitor the aged balance of the project
Ā·  Set-up and participate to the project's review meetings with auditors
Ā·  Collect all information for audit purposes
Ā·  Monitor the Treasury position of the project
Ā·  Follow-up payments to external suppliers and intercompany
Ā·  Cost Accounting reconciliation

Financial Reporting / Accounting closing
Ā·  Coordination of project review between Cost Controller and EMIA Finance for closing assumptions
Ā·  Prepare and submit quarterly accounting closing (Margin calculation / recognition, accruals and provisions calculation, ā€¦)
Ā·  Prepare and submit to the Reporting Department the Financial Forecast (Revenue, Costs & Gross Margin)

Treasury
Ā·  Preparation and issuance of project cash flow
Ā·  Monitor of foreign currency exposure and relevant hedging instruction

Financial and Administrative control of the Foreign Entities (JV, Permanent Establishment, Subsidiaries) established for project's execution
Ā·  coordinate Entity's statutory requirements (books, annual boards, general/shareholders' meetings, ...)
Ā·  select, define the parameters and set-up the most appropriate accounting tools
Ā·  set-up the Entity including all local registration, set-up of bank accounts and any other activity necessary for the full operativeness of the Entity in coordination with relevant pertinent Departments (Legal, Group Tax & Legal Entities );
Ā·  follow-up of the treasury activities
Ā·  follow-up of tax risks of the Entity
Ā·  control the accounting and relevant local tax returns
Ā·  provide the EMIA Reporting Department with the Revenues & Gross Margin Forecast of the Entity

Requirements:

Must have
- Economical degree
- Fluent level of English spoken and written
- Availability to move abroad for short / long term assignment
- team working oriented

Nice to have
- from 1 to 3 years maximum experience in long term contracts, engineering company, project financial controlling activity, ERP system
