Job title: Estimating Specialist (Piping)
Company: Technip Italy (TPIT)
Location: Rome Office


Job purpose:
He/She produces piping estimates for a specific proposal and/or project.

Reporting lines and interactions:
Hierarchically reports to: Estimating Department Manager

Operationally reports to: Piping Estimating Section Head

Internally: Piping Material Management; Engineering, Process, Proposal, Procurement and Construction

Externally: Technip Group, Joint-Venture Partners, Suppliers.

Main accountabilities:
·  Analysis of bidder requirements.
·  He/She prepares piping material take off in accordance to the Technip methodology.
·  Checks material take off in line whit the tender documentation.
·  Preparation of a large number of report
·  Classify all piping items
·  He/She analyses all commercial bid tabulation
·  Support in collection of all needed relevant data for benchmarking quantities
·  Setting the cost estimate / overall cost summary
·  Prepares the price breakdown for the commercial offer for submission.
·  Updates and maintains the data bank & tools.

Typical background and experience required:
Must have :
- High school diploma or relevant technical diploma.
- Good knowledge of English
- High knowledge of Office sources (Excel, Access) and Database (Oracle, Java)
- Basic understanding of the principles of cost control, estimating, management and project reporting.

Nice to have :
- At least 2 years of experience in Project execution.
- Autocad
