Offshore PLC Engineer

Job description

Responsible for direct coordination of the activities of multidisciplinary teams (welders, painters and warehouses) and indirect coordination of technicians (electricians, mechanics and tower operators) working together with supervisors assisting the Launch System Coordinator (CPE) in the management of the maintenance and operation of the Launch System;

Responsible for implementing modifications to the equipment for the operation of the launching system and issuing information on the training of tower operator and management of maintenance and operation activities performed over time.

Main activities

·  Coordinate multidisciplinary teams: welders, painters and warehouses and their activities in order to give the necessary support to the technical team to carry out maintenance activities;
·  Coordinate, with the supervisor, the technicians of the different disciplines (mechanical / hydraulic and electrical) in carrying out the service orders generated by the maintenance plans and the tower operators in the operation of the launching system equipment according to the required procedure to obtain safety, effectiveness and the maximum operability of the equipment;
·  Train and evaluate tower operators, monitoring their activities and reviewing procedures, contributing to the operational performance of the launch system in order to increase the team's autonomy and understanding of operations, SCADA system and troubleshooting;
·  Monitor and support tower operators and supervisors during critical operations in the control room (CCR);
·  Coordinate loading activities in the list of services to be performed and supervise suppliers and equipment manufacturers' representatives, when on board for maintenance and / or technical assistance services;
·  Plan maintenance activities so that tools, parts, equipment and useful consumables are available;
·  Implement audit action plans carried out by customers, regulatory authorities and / or company management, work standards establishing best practices for the team by creating and updating procedures and technical specifications.

You are meant for this job if:

·  Graduation in Electrical or Automation Engineering;
·  Proven experience in maintenance of large complex equipment, automation systems, supervisory PLCs and process control;
·  Valid CREA;
·  Advanced / fluent English;
·  Desirable offshore experience;
·  Desirable knowledge of PLSV hydraulic equipment.
