Job purpose:

Part of Building Department in Rome, the Candidate will work on Projects under the Building Engineering Section Head responsibility and will perform and coordinate the design of buildings, in an international context, for Oil and Gas Projects.

Reporting lines and interactions:

Hierarchically reports to: Building Engineering Section Head

Operationally reports to: Building Engineering Section Head

Directly supervises (operationally): Building technical specialists

Functionally supervises : N/A.

Key interactions (internally, externally):

Internally: Site, civil works and other disciplines' technical specialists and engineers, other operating centers

Externally: Clients/Partners (technical specialists), Engineering Subcontractors, Construction Subcontractors

Profile:

Must have:

- The resource has completed a course of study in Building Engineering-Architecture or Civil Engineering and has gained experience, even a short one, in technical engineering industrial building design sector (better if in Oil and Gas industry).

- Experience in Building structural design - concrete and steel structures .

- Capability to perform its work on time with the required quality level.

- Capability to work in team, to ensure interface communication with other disciplines and to bring technical solutions to the project.

- Capabilities in relationship and technical open mind.

- Fluent in English.

- Capability to work in international context.

- Open to missions in engineering operating centers and/or construction sites.

Nice to have:

-Fluent in Italian.

-Experience in building design using Autocad and/or Microstation 2D softwares and 3D modeling using Revit.

-Knowledge of building technological system.

Main accountabilities

· 

·  Carry out and coordinate the design of buildings and relevant 3D modeling and MTOs.
·  Ensure timely reporting on engineering activities to the Building Section Head.
·  Ensure proper communication within building and civil works team and with other disciplines (e.g. Process, Electric, Instrumentation, Firefighting, etc.) for management of interfaces.
·  Review and apply Project specifications and standards.
·  Provide value engineering on specifications and standards provided by Clients.
·  Meets quality and HSE objectives of the project
·  Prepare transfer dossiers to other operating centers/Subcontractors for detail engineering.
·  Monitor design progress and ensure timely and qualitative preparation of project deliverables.
·  Assure that comments by other disciplines are incorporated in the design.
·  Transmit comments to other disciplines.
