DEPARTMENT:

The Engineering Internship Program is a 3 month long technical development program that provides college engineers with direct experience in engineering job roles and engineering departments. This program exposes the college engineer to different product lines, job functions and business processes within our organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

While in the Engineering Development Program, Engineering Interns will be exposed to technical training in both classroom and Computer Based Training (CBT) courses, shop & manufacturing environments, and possibly testing/field installations. Over the summer, the Engineering Intern will be placed in a diverse engineering group.

While working in a department, responsibilities may include any or all of the following: preform analysis and initiate ideas; creation of appropriate engineering documentation for product line; evaluate products, process, or systems; communication with customers, team members, suppliers, and other business units; contribute to the design of new products; preform product maintenance; support to other engineers; oversee & facilitate field operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

·  Current engineering student at a 4-year accredited university/college at time of hiring.
·  Bachelor degree programs with the following disciplines: Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Ocean, Civil, & Naval Architecture.
·  3.0/4.0 GPA minimum.
·  Previous technical internships are a plus.
