Who are we looking for?

 

 Requirements

·        Master or Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical or environmental engineering

·        Minimum of 3 years’ experience in water and wastewater operation (services) or engineering

·        Previous experience in industrial field is a preference

·        Fluent in English (written and verbal). Additional language skills are beneficial.

Other Qualifications

Previous relevant experience would include bid management, Sales or business development on contracts with elements of:
-          Long-term services.
-          Knowledge of Term and Conditions
-          Water outsourcing contracts.
-          Project with financing.
-          Previous technical experience in water treatment services would be beneficial

Personal skills

What will you be doing?

As per the development strategy of the Company for Suez Water Technologies & Solutions (SWTS) Europe Services for Industry, he/she is in charge to cover the position of Proposal Engineer. He/she works closely with the Sales and Operation team Managers involved to develop the proposal.

Proposal Service Department is responsible for the developing offer of long term services related to process water, wastewater and water reuse treatment plants for all industrial markets (petrochemical, refineries, pharmaceutical, chemical, pulp and paper, food and beverage, steel mill and microelectronics).

 The services proposed by SWTS Service proposal department are:

·  Long Term Service Agreement with industrial client for their water treatment assets including Operation & Maintenance.
·  Build Own and Operate contracts
·  Technical assistance including membrane guaranties and maintenance or remote follow up of the performance (Suez’s Insight software)

Main Tasks

·  Develop with sales team sales opportunities for all industrial customers bringing a strong technical assistance which includes audits of existing plants, process design, identification of technical improvements, costing of the services, writing offers, presentations to customers.
The Service proposals are developed in a close collaboration with the local operation teams that are involved in existing contracts in the country.

·        Reception and understanding of the customer needs and request (sometimes thought Request For Quotation)

·        Audit of the existing assets: collect existing information and identification of improvements.

·        To produce the technical documentation linked to project: process description, P&ID,

·        Where appropriate to consult sub-contractors and to evaluate technically bids

·        Discuss with client technical issue during job meeting.

·         Define the scope of the service and the associated costs (labour, sub-contractors, consumables, utilities…)

·        Establishing a strong internal network to enhance successful collaboration with all internal functions that are involved in a Services project

·        Identification, evaluation, prioritization and mitigation of business risks (performance, contractual, execution, etc.), owning associated Leadership deal reviews.

·        Managing and optimizing the interface between Business Unit’s on multi-BU opportunities.

·        Writing the proposal

·        Demonstrate successful negotiation skills to assist in the sales team with client negotiations to close orders.  

·        underwriting the risk associated with these opportunities throughout the sales cycle from lead qualification to contract signature and handing the project off to the operation team

·        Adhere to all internal procedures related to bid preparation,

·         Respect EHS procedures

·        Must demonstrate the ability to clearly visualize, optimize and document SWTS’s value proposition

·        This position requires some traveling
