Job description

This position is responsible for sustaining the day to day processes of Test and Manufacturing operations by providing immediate investigations, corrective and preventive actions to process and/or equipment anomalies, propose and execute long term improvement plan within the policies and guidelines of ST Microelectronics Inc.

MECHANICAL YIELD IMPROVEMENT (Daily)

Manages daily issues and defines actions that prevent recurrence
Provides technical support to Production in the analysis and disposition of non-conforming lots and equipment, whenever necessary
Plans and execute MSA requirements of  Scanning Equipment

CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS (As Needed)

Analyzes customer complaints using Eight Discipline (8D) Problem Solving methodology
Performs mechanical simulations, evaluations and investigations in identifying the root cause of issues
Defines corrective and preventive action following the discipline of error proofing

PROCESS DOCUMENTATION (As Scheduled)

Generates and conducts regular review of manufacturing instructions
Defines key process parameters and control plan
Identifies opportunities to simplify/improve process and prepares enhancements

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT(As scheduled)

Generates qualification reports of new equipment model and process through Process Change Requisition/Process Change Approval, FCCP codification in IEDB
Provides support during new product introduction or line stressing, prototyping and other engineering evaluations
Participates in improvement teams and contributes recommendations for company wide enhancements to quality, productivity and process

REPORTS (As Scheduled)

Generates appropriate reports on process control data.
Leads creation of improvement plans when results are below target

Profile

EDUCATION:

With a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electronics and Communications, or Electrical Engineering

EXPERIENCE:
With at least three (3) years technical experience handling Process Engineering tasks in a similar environment. Vision inspection expertise on either of the following equipment (STI-Isort, IsmecaNX32, ICOS, TTvision) is preferred.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
Must demonstrate skills in problem solving tools, Statistical Process Control, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis , Eight Discipline (8D)
Must be familiar with Test and Finish production operations, engineering evaluations, product and process simplification, error-proofing.
Must demonstrate effective interaction skills

BUSINESS UNDERSTANDING:
Familiarity with the local semiconductor industry
