STMicroelectronics is currently seeking a Sr, Human Resources Business Partner, based in our Burlington, MA Office.  The position will support assigned client groups in the Americas Region (Eastern States, including Canada and Brazil), and will be responsible for the implementation and administration of HR programs, and at the professional level, provide management and employees with a full range of human resources services across all functional areas including Recruiting, Employee Relations, Compensation, Employment Policies and Practices, Performance Management, Learning and Development, Benefit Administration (including Leave Management), and Employee Relations.

This position typically performs work in a corporate or field location and reports to a Human Resources Director or Manager. This position also works collaboratively with HR team members to maintain synergy within the team and promote a consistent approach to Human Resources practices throughout the organization.
Responsibilities:
Build a strong consultative relationship with assigned client groups. Act as key HR point of contact, trusted advisor, and sounding board for managers, and employees.
Work with management, HR team, and business leaders to identify, define and implement HR plans and solutions that address the needs of the business while taking into account the broader implication.
Provide counsel and guidance to employees and managers on sensitive HR issues and concerns with a focus on problem-resolution and providing excellent customer service
Provide day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
Provide HR Policy guidance and interpretation to all managers and employees
Partner with HR colleagues and leaders to implement specific programs and initiatives directly aligned to business strategy in the areas of hiring, performance management, recognition, career development, organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, talent development, compensation and employee relations. Identify and recommend training initiatives
Manage and resolve all mid-level to complex employee relations issues within client groups. Conduct thorough and objective investigations as needed, assess risk and determine appropriate actions and make recommendations that are in the best interest of our employee and the business.

PROFILE REQUIRED:

·    Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of exempt level Human Resource experience, including minimum 3 years of employee relations experience including a strong hands-on background in performance management, labor/employment laws, regulations and policies, conflict resolution, and handling formal employment related complaints (internal/external)
Demonstrated experience driving organizational and culture change initiatives, developing workforce plans in a high-growth organization, and influencing challenging personalities
Ability to influence, establish credibility, and build relationships at all levels in the organization.
Must be able to orientate in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
Drives results and is solution-oriented
Strong project management, effective organizational skills, business and HR acumen, including strong problem solving skills, critical thinking and analysis with high attention to detail a must
Expert knowledge of federal and state employment laws
Advanced computer skills in an Office 365 environment including Word, Excel and Power Point. Knowledge of PeopleSoft or other HRIS system.
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information, objectivity, and consistency in administration of practices.
Experience with global high tech environment, preferred.
Must be able to work on a self-initiated basis and able to work extended hours and travel (15- 25%) as required.  Travel outside of the country will be required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience. SHRM-CP or SCP, or SPHR or PHR certification a plus.
