We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Middle East LLC Qatar for:

ENGINEERING MANAGER

This position is a unique opportunity to Follow up Site activities to confirm compliance with approved Method Statements for job execution and Issued for Construction drawings

Your main duties will be:

• Be fully aware of the Project HSE requirements
• Support the Project Manager by assisting and managing all Engineering activities
• Ensure full implementation and adherence to the HSE Regulations and pro per follow up of the HSE Procedures and Instructions in all areas of Work
• Actively contribute to Safety Walks, reporting of accidents and investigation of accidents
• Ensure that the works are being done in accordance with the Quality requirements of the Project
• Follow up Site activities to confirm compliance with approved Method Statements for job execution and Issued for Construction drawings
• Responsible for progress of all Engineering activities
• Follow up EPCC Contractor and Subcontractors for all Project phases in or der to assure the quality and safety aspects of the work and report any deviations.
• Follow up EPCC Contractors/Subcontractors about interpretation and proper implementation of the technical content of the EPCC Contract documents
• Follow up schedule and progress including detection of deviation from the EPCC Contract schedule
• Identify, report and follow up risks within own area of responsibility
• Coordinate the day to day Engineering activities and coordinate the same with Qafco and the external authorities as needed
• Follow up on all design changes and their implementation
• Follow up on Mechanical Completion activities of the Project


Ideally, you should have Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in the relevant field from a recognized University.
Should have minimum 10 + years direct and relevant experience related to operation and management of Fertilizer, oil and gas or petrochemical industry. Minimum 5 years in an Engineering management position in Ammonia and Urea Major Projects is a MUST.

You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as, an advance level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office. You will need excellent communication and presentation skills in both written and verbal English.
