Job Overview and Responsibilities

For our aerospace plant in Wrexham, we are currently looking for a Maintenance Engineer to support this Manufacturing Excellence Site.  The Wrexham site is part of the composite materials global business unit and plays a crucial role in serving the aerospace business globally.

In this role you will work within a 3 shift pattern of earlies, afternoons and nights covering Monday-Friday with flexibility to change shifts when required (reasonable notice will be provided).

Adhering to Company HSE policies and procedures you will work to maintenance schedules, carry out planned preventative maintenance on a range of process and support equipment.  A key part of this role will be to react swiftly to process breakdowns to minimise downtime, identifying the root cause of equipment failure and appropriate preventative action implemented.  You will also ensure accurate and consistant completion of documentation and Maximo CMMS data. 

Education and Experience

To be successful in this role we require you to have time served in an Engineering Apprenticeship plus:-

·  Demonstrable experience as a Maintenance Engineer with an understanding of Safe Systems of Work, Permit-to-Work, Risk Assessments and ATEX Regulations.
·  Knowledge and experience of modern maintenance methodologies such as: RCM, TPM and Condition Monitoring.
·  You will have a good understanding of PLCs and Motor Drives, AC and DC Motors, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Electrical and Mechanical principles.
·  Minimum ONC/HNC in Engineering (ideally both mechanical and electrical).
·  IEE 18th edition regulations if electrically biased.
·  COMPEX Qualifications (this would be advantageous).

·  Excellent problem solving skills, including Root Cause Analysis.
