Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities and missions will be to contribute to the control and reduction of operational risks within the Operations Department. To carry out this mission, the OSM will work closely with the Operations team – onshore and offshore – to help:

·  Monitor the operational incidents by helping operational teams and managers to collect and report incidents in dedicated tools, reviewing and performing critical analysis of Post-Mortem and action plans and following-up on their implementation
·  Identify the relevant risk indicators and help monitor them
·  Perform and coordinate the annual Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA)
·  Monitor the outsourced / externalized services (OES) by contributing to assessing the operational risks linked to OES and contributing to ad-hoc oversight related project
·  Ensure a strong managerial supervision by reviewing with the managers the control framework in place and monitoring the results of the permanent supervision controls
·  Carry out operational processes review to assess their adequacy in terms of risks and control framework
·  Participate in operational risk awareness sessions
·  Help automate the processes and develop monitoring dashboards

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Hong Kong is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 24 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com .

Profile Required

You are graduated with a Master degree from Engineering or Business School or University with a specialization in Banking, Finance or Economics

Ideally you have past experience in Banking

You are fluent in English. French or Mandarin would be a plus but are not required

You are proficient in Microsoft Office application (Excel, powerpoint, VBA), and show strong interest in new technologies (Tableau / PowerBi would be a plus)

You have the following skills:

·  Basic understanding of Operational Risk and how it may manifest itself in a Financial Services environment
·  Basic understanding of the various Business and Support Units operating in a Financial Institution
·  Strong analytical skills with high attention to details and accuracy
·  Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
·  Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
·  Able to organize time, multitask, and define priorities (autonomy)
·  Able to interact with all level of the organization from operators to executive management members
·  Must be able to work collaboratively within a complex organization, across multiple cultures, geographies and disciplines
·  Ability to be flexible and agile (priorities may change and escalation need to be adapted)
·  Demonstrated ability to lead change through influencing skills, be a positive change agent
