Description of the Business Line or Department

CORI, the Coverage and Investment Banking division of SG CIB, offers a global advisory approach focused on strategic dialogue with clients. Building on long-term relationships based on trust, CORI offers clients the whole range of services offered by SG CIB and the Société Générale Group, with a particular focus on investment banking and commercial banking activities.

CORI's client reach is worldwide with solid local expertise thanks to our platforms in Europe (France, the UK, Germany, Italy, Iberia and the CEEMEA region), the Americas and Asia.

Corporate Finance (CORI/COR) has an integrated worldwide set-up offering a comprehensive range of advisory and capital raising services to accompany its clients thanks to strong sector and product knowledge, and proven capabilities in both local and cross-border executions. The corporate finance activity is about accompanying clients on all of their investment banking needs from strategic advisory, mergers & acquisitions, equity capital markets and structured equity transactions.

Summary of the key purposes of the role

· 
The position will be based in London within the TMT Corporate Finance team.

· 
The position is focused on TMT subsectors and geographies, and will be involved in M&A and ECM execution as well as origination of new deals.

· 
This position would report to the Global [co-]Head[s] of TMT Corporate Finance

Summary of responsibilities

· 
Participate in the definition and execution of the TMT sector's marketing plans (M&A advisory and ECM), with a particular focus on certain sub-segments of TMT

· 
Develop and maintain sector expertise and certain client relationships in these segments

· 
Assisting in the origination of Corporate Finance transactions across the TMT sector

· 
Leading/assisting in the execution of Corporate Finance transactions across the TMT sector

· 
Leading in the preparation and pitching of presentations for clients, investors and the broader investment community

· 
Financial statement analysis and financial modeling

· 
Company valuations mainly using market multiples, M&A multiples and the DCF method

· 
Help develop transaction structures / structured solutions

· 
Keep up to date about M&A, equity and debt related issues

· 
Working with other country and products teams as required

· 
Efficiently supervise junior colleagues (interns, analysts and associates as appropriate) and owns responsibility of their work

· 
Is able to coordinate multi-products pitch and execution

· 
Is able to assist in the development of structured marketing plans

· 
Has developed cross-product approach: is able to cooperate efficiently with other business line

· 
Has strong command of English in an international deal-making environment

Level of autonomy and authority

· 
The candidate is required to be able to autonomously manage client interactions at the transaction execution phase, under the supervision of the MDs in the team

The candidate is also expected to display a large level of autonomy in the pitch preparation phase and to take a proactive role in client meetings and discussions

Give guidance and efficiently supervise junior colleagues on projects and marketing pitches

Proactively contribute to the ideas generation / origination process of the team

Has excellent knowledge of Corporate Finance concepts and Corporate Finance related products Has solid Corporate Finance sector/country knowledge: is able to identify new opportunities and understand key industry trends

Has solid accounting, valuation, legal, market rules/listings rules knowledge

Has excellent modeling skills (complex structuring modeling, advanced business plan modelisation or Convertible Bond EPS Dilution / Right Issues modeling)

Operate in conformance with his/her team mandate and in compliance with the SG procedures established for the enforcement of the French Banking Law compliance and the Volcker Rule. WORK EXPERIENCE

The candidate should have between 5 and 7 years experience of corporate finance / M&A, acquired in a reputable bank or M&A advisory boutique, with a particular focus on the TMT sector.

EDUCATION

· 
University graduate (Bachelor's degree) is essential

· 
Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or other relevant field

· 
Excellent academic record from a top rated University or equivalent

· 
6 years+ Professional experience

LANGUAGES
