Technical Project Manager- Advanced SISW PLM

We are seeking a Technical Project manager- Advanced to join the siemens Digital Exchange Team.

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for the management and delivery of mid to large business or technical projects, and the planning and coordinating of mid to large programs or releases within the established timeframe from initiation through delivery on schedule and within budget.  The project may have well-defined dependencies on other areas/projects.  Interacts with the project sponsor or program manager.  Ability to understand complex products, solutions, and problems.  Responsible to lead project teams to deliver projects on time and within budget through effective management of the project scope, budget, plan, resource, issues, and deliverables.  Works with minimal supervision on complex projects with latitude for independent judgment.  Highly skilled with extensive proficiency.

The primary and majority function of the job is to manage a team. The majority of time spent in this position is in managing projects.   

Responsibilities

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Successful PMs will work with customers and partners directly to identify unmet needs and will work with engineering to define creative solutions that deliver an excellent customer experience.

- Define product strategy, get buy in from relevant stakeholders and work with the team to prioritize work to deliver upon that strategy.

- Collaborate with partner teams to define deliverables, roadmaps, and accompanying documentation for projects and programs.

- Anticipate bottlenecks, identify opportunities, manage risk and escalations, and balance the business and user needs versus technical constraints.

- Clearly and effectively  communicate with technical owners, product managers and upper management.

-  Drive process and tooling improvements to increase visibility, throughput and output quality.

-  Encouraging risk-taking behavior to maximize business benefit while identifying interdependencies between concurrent projects to prevent downstream problems.

Minimum  Requirements :

- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

(MBA is a strong plus)

-  3+ years of relevant work experience in Technical Product Management

-  Experience with an agile development context

-  Experience coordinating complex product development cycles and software development schedules

-  Superior verbal and written communications skills with high attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications

-  Ability to work autonomously in a highly demanding and often ambiguous environment, with attention to detail and organizational skills

-  Analytical acumen, and comfort generating and evaluating various forecasts, Metrics, and analyses

-  Experience defining projects, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional and test specifications, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule and deploy new features sets

-  Ability to proactively identify upcoming risks, issues, and bottlenecks and resolve issues that sometimes cross departmental boundaries.

-  Excellent time management, resource management and planning skills

-  Ability to interface with internal and external customers of varying technical abilities

It is highly desirable that the candidate possess one or more of the

following:

- Software Development Life Cycle experience

-  Design thinking and business modelling experience

-  Broad technical breadth and depth including web services and back-end application infrastructure
