Principal Solution Architect

Objective:

The Global SME will support complex, global opportunities related to MOM Global Sales Initiatives and Global Campaigns.

The Global SME will also be heavily engaged in Services Enablement; this will include training and mentoring teams in a billable capacity, internal teams and partner teams, primarily in regions that are currently understaffed and need to grow capacity.

This supports the growing MOM targets in 2018.

The Global MOM Services Practice needs subject matter expert capacity to address its objectives:

· Harmonize the various MOM platforms and products globally around the Advantedge process.
· Ensure intellectual property assets are in place to support high quality Services Business Development and Delivery and increasing delivery margins.
· Collaborate with the Zones to create capacity and skills across the
· MOM portfolio as necessary to achieve the global business plan.
· Collaborate with the Segment, PDS, and Zones to create best practices around strategic programs with a global focus.

Your Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

The role is a subject matter expert as it relates to the implementation of products that are included in the MOM product portfolio. He/she is expected to have a deep understanding of specific set of products that

are part of the MOM product portfolio and a broad understanding of the overall portfolio. This understanding is intended to be focused around the implementation (services) of these products across one or more related industries/domains.

As an Architect resource, the role has responsibility for the translation of business requirements into best practice designs for the Siemens MOM solution. As a Global Subject Matter Expert, these designs may extend across domains and may involve multiple parts of the Siemens PLM portfolio. By their nature these programs will be strategic and/or complex Enterprise Programs that require specialist expertise and high levels of technical leadership. An important facet of the job is the ability to craft solutions in support of the Global Sales Initiatives and Global Campaigns.

The role requires self-management within project and/ or task constraints to determine solutions, methods and procedures on assignments/projects. A key success criteria includes the ability to work within disparate teams and a passion for teaching/mentoring. This role provides architecture and implementation guidance and mentoring to others within the MOM community - promoting adoption into the Zones and ensuring that knowledge and lessons learnt are shared across Zone boundaries. As part of the MOM Services Global Practice, this role involves the creation and curation of best practices and templates and mentoring in the creation and adoption of template-based solutions in support of the Advantedge Delivery Framework.

The role offers the opportunity to work with teams and customers around the globe and therefore requires the ability to travel a significant amount. This travel is expected to be in excess of 50%.

· Preferred education and focus – Engineering Degree
· Preferred past experience – Hands on experience in other Manufacturing-related industries (such as Electronics)
· Preferred knowledge, skills, or expertise – Development experiencewith C#, Javascript, PL-SQL, and T-SQL.
