HR Generalist – Fort Madison, IA plant

Responsibilities:

·  Assist employees with questions, including but not limited to:
·  How to access internet tools from home and locally.
·  How to change/enroll in benefits
·  Simple Benefits questions-point them in the right direction
·  Payroll issues/concerns-partner with payroll to resolve issues
·  Assist with FMLA/STD questions
·  Manage personnel records
·  Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
·  Develop human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of actions to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department
·  Coordinate, track, and post hourly bids and process changes
·  Conduct new employee orientations for hourly personnel
·  Partner with Group Leads over disciplinary and attendance issues as needed
·  Conduct investigations as needed
·  Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase retention
·  Full hourly recruitment life-cycle included but not limited to:
·  Posting hourly position requisitions
·  Posting hourly position advertisements in local newspapers, workforce development, social media, etc.
·  Reviewing and prescreening candidates
·  Coordination of interviews with Group Leads and/or Managers
·  Processing offers in the system
·  Confirming UAs are completed
·  Coordinating with FSS-TA Coordinators on status of candidates
·  Verification of I-9's
·  Liaison with local contractor suppliers
·  Coordinate contract labor process including orientation
·  Spend a minimum of 30 minutes-1 hour on the floor daily –
·  Projects as identified or assigned.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

·  3-5 years HR Experience, previous manufacturing experience required.
·  Strong employee relations background
·  Bachelor's degree
·  Strong excel and MS Officer skills
·  Able to work flexible hours
·  Detail oriented
