What will you do?

As a Co-op student, you will assist, assess and advise on the implementation of the EHS Management system in day-to-day operations. In addition, the Co-op student will provide general health and safety assistance to service centre and field operations. Travel may be required for up to 2 days with overnight stay in Alberta once a month.

·  Implementation of the EHS Management system
·  Entering and analysing EHS metrics.
·  Trending safety observations
·  Manage EHS data registries (ISN, Avetta, Complyworks etc.)
·  Facilitating Contractor EHS Orientations
·  Developing EHS internal training materials
·  Tracking and assisting in the close-out of action items
·  Perform field safety inspections by observing field equipment and working with field service personnel to learn about associated hazards.
·  Assist and support in the COR re-certification audit
·  Site visits with Field HSE Coordinators (Work Observations, audits, etc.), as required.
·  Assist in Incident Investigations as required.
·  Facilitate toolbox talks as required.

What will you need to succeed?

·  Currently enrolled in the NAIT Occupational Health & Safety Diploma Program
·  Must have completed 1 st year of program
·  Valid Class 5 driver's license and satisfactory driver's abstract preferred.
·  Advanced in MS Excel spreadsheet (marcos and specialized formatting)
·  Comfortable with public speaking and presenting training material
