Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Communications Business Partner to support its UK Rolling Stock and Customer Service businesses. This is a full-time role based at our company's London headquarters. Reporting to the UK Head of Communications, you will provide internal and external communications to support Siemens Mobility's metro, commuter, high speed and light rail business.

This is an exciting time in the UK rail industry with the company engaged in some of the highest profile rail projects including Thameslink and the Deep Tube Upgrade Programme with further industry change expected and additional projects (such as HS2 and Crossrail 2) in development.

Particular focus will be required to launch and develop our new rail manufacturing facility and support the roll out of new trains for London Underground, as well as communications support for the company's existing fleet of UK rail vehicles (550+ trains in daily passenger service with eight associated purpose-built rail maintenance facilities).

The successful candidate will drive, develop and define related communications strategy and budgets, supporting key business objectives and senior managers. You will also be required to have a strong focus on large and complex projects and will be adept at managing relationships with multiple touch points both in the UK and with overseas colleagues.

What are your responsibilities

·  Management of business and region specific communications activities, working with a team of communications professionals and business contacts to implement a 360 degree concept (as appropriate) to amplify reach
·  Developing appropriate business/project-specific messaging and campaigns aligned to broader UK and global strategic themes
·  Working as an integral member of the Siemens Mobility regional (UKI) and global Siemens Mobility Communications (SMO CC) teams and collaborating with them to build a strong network of contacts and share best practice communication campaign, concepts and materials
·  Defining and measuring relevant KPIs for communications activities
·  Following SMO CC governance guidelines and ensuring they are implemented accordingly
·  Acting as crisis communications support, screening, monitoring and actioning potential issues, and subsequently working with local and global colleagues to mitigate impact
·  Working within and promoting an ownership culture and encouraging colleagues to do the same.

·  Strong influencing and collaboration skills (essential)
·  Experience of budget planning and financial management
