Job description



This position is accountable for providing guidance and support regarding policies and programs such as recruiting, compensation and benefits, training, employee and / or labor relations, safety and personnel research. May assist in the development and implementation of Human Resources policies and procedures.

What do you get to do in this position?

This position is accountable for providing strategic and tactical human resource leadership and services in such areas as HR consulting/advocacy, employee relations, recruiting & placement, personnel practices, compensation & benefits, training & development, communications, affirmative action, and community relations.

Contribute to the design of organizations (skills, resources, processes) to suit business challenges and HR strategy.
- Manage the People aspect of the Schneider Production System in the industrial and project environment.
- Manage the Competency Master Plan process (Career & Competency Review and Gap analysis),
- Coordinate the resources / business needs within the framework of the organizations.
- Ensure that Line Managers become autonomous and have the good HR postures by communicating, training them and guiding them through the HR processes, tools and systems.
- Coordinate and guarantee that processes as well as HR programs are being correctly carried out around Group values.
- Contribute to employees' professional development, focusing more specially on high potentials and talents. Ensure the right resources are at the right jobs within the entity.
- Facilitate internal and cross Business Unit mobility.
- Guarantee a good social climate: Manage labor/Industrial relations and legal aspects for the plant, including contract negotiations with the Union.
- Contribute to occupational health.

Qualifications :

This job might be for you if you have:

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources, and related field or equivalent work experience.

• Fluency in English is required.

• The successful candidate will have a passion for HR as a driver of business results, strong business acumen, the ability to identify critical business issues, and apply HR expertise to deliver solutions.

• The successful candidate will embrace ambiguity and will be a tireless advocate for professional growth.

• Candidates must have demonstrated excellence in the areas of: leadership, business acumen, consulting, analysis, project management, communication, presentation, negotiation and conflict management, and problem solving

• 2 years minimum experience in progressively responsible HR roles.

• Strong working knowledge of general Human Resources policies, programs, methods, practices and procedures related to Employee Relations, Compensation, Benefits, Performance Management, Talent Management, Workers Compensation, Benefits, etc.

• Strong working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to the Human Resources function.

• experience in manufacturing plants, experience working with unions
