Schneider Electric in Cedar Rapids, Iowa is hiring for a 3rd Shift Electronics Maintenance team member.

The primary responsibility for this role is to provide electrical, instrumentation, PLC/HMI, robotic system, and controls related support for on-site manufacturing/production systems; as well as providing general electrical support for the facility and other in-house business needs.

What do you get to do in this position?

· Installs, maintains, repairs, and modifies electrical equipment & industrial control systems (ICS).
· Diagnoses, repairs, and develops countermeasures for process failures & breakdowns.
· Interprets and updates technical documentation.
· Conducts electrical preventative maintenance.
· Installs & repairs wiring, conduit, and cabling (including phone and data network lines).
· Makes electrical repairs on small equipment.

Desired profile

Education:
·  High School Diploma or GED required.
·  Associate degree in applicable technology is also required. Ideal (applied science) majors may include: electronics engineering, automation & instrumentation, or manufacturing & robotics. (In lieu of a technology degree, equivalent work experience & training may be considered.)
·  Training and experience working with low voltage (
·  Basic training in medium or high voltage (600V-69kV / 69kV-230kV) work is beneficial.
Experience: A minimum of three years of experience with industrial electrical/electronic maintenance, instrumentation, and controls is preferred; along with the technical skills necessary to successfully perform the required work including: understanding complex electrical/electronic equipment, circuits, standards, ICS & processes, and robotic systems.
·  Primary ICS platforms consist of Modicon & Magelis (by Schneider Electric), although demonstrated proficiency with other ICS platforms will also be acceptable (particularly Allen-Bradley or Siemens).
