Job description
The individual in this position will utilize technical knowledge to prepare quotation packages based on the Schneider Electric PowerZone / Ehouse solutions and may perform Bill of Material preparation for some large, complex projects with guidance of a Senior or Staff Quotation Specialist.
Candidate is responsible for determining a winning strategy and developing an advantageous proposal to place Schneider Electric in the most favorable competition position.
Candidate needs to possess the education, experience, and exposure required to:
· Optimize the customer requirements utilizing Schneider equipment portfolio while maintaining the overall intent and fit for purpose Ehouse concept.
· Coordinate activities with other departments and/or functions
· Ensure that the quote is technically compatible and competitive by communicating with the Sales Engineer to determine/clarify project requirements.
· Interpret, analyze, document, and communicate contractual, technical, and commercial terms in order to support bid strategies in various market conditions and segments.
· Highlight exceptions and deviations from customer specifications and drawings
· Support the order handoff process as needed to ensure proper order conversion and execution success.
· Embraces and fully utilizes new tools and technology to improve efficiency.
Desired profile
Qualifications :
BS Engineering or equivalent experience required
5-10 years prefabricated-enclosure industry experience.
Knowledgeable on the following products: Ehouse (pre-fabricated enclosures), MV/LV Switchgear (AIS/GIS) Switchboards, MCC, Dry Type Transformers, DC and UPS systems.
Electrical distribution systems, including ability to understand and interpret electrical single-line diagrams, specifications, and schematics
Application knowledge of National Electrical Code, NEMA, UL, and prefabricated enclosure certifications and requirements
Self-motivated team player with good time management, verbal, and written communication skills.
Must be able to effectively utilize company software programs/collaborative tools and have the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously.
Must possess the ability to interpret customer requirements.
