Based in Sydney, we have an exciting opportunity for an Edge Evangelist in our Secure Power (previously known as APC) business. Our Secure Power business is a global leader in critical power & cooling solutions, providing industry leading infrastructure products, software solutions, a complete management systems & services for data centres, distributed IT and Edge computing environments. Our software solutions include the world class cloud-based EcoStruxure IT and on-premise StruxureWare portfolios.

This critical role is at its core, focused on educating and influencing via all available channels including alliance partners as well as to end users directly to build trust, create demand and increase revenue opportunities ensuring customer retention and new acquisition.

You will be naturally inquisitive and have a genuine passion for emerging technologies as well as their practical applications and adoption. You will have a background in solution engineering, pre-sales and technical design with a flair for delivering a compelling narrative to audiences ranging from inexperienced buyers through to executive management.

Your consultative approach and business background enable you to comfortably engage at every level of business. This provides you with an innate ability to illicit from clients, their pain points and you to present a compelling value proposition outlining how and where IT, IoT and Edge convergence solutions fit in their business.

We believe that the following attributes will be critical to your success:

· Good exposure to IoT, SaaS, Cloud and Edge computing technology in a consultative and solutions focused customer-oriented role
· You will be a natural and confident presenter, trainer and influencer complemented with finely honed business acumen
· Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business; Commerce; Science or similar with sound problem solving and stakeholder management skills
· An established successful track record using a collaborative approach to coordinate discrete teams to achieve results quickly
· Disruptive mindset, challenging the status quo with customer advocacy in mind
· Exceptional listening and communication skills commensurate a C level customer facing role and recognised as a trusted advisor
